Privacy Policy
The plain-English version. We collect very little, we don't sell anything to anyone, and we delete on request. Below is the full version a lawyer would want.
What we collect
When you fill out the contact form, the newsletter form, or the in-page chat prompt on wyecliff.com, we collect what you typed: your name, work email, company, phone, industry, and the message itself. We also collect the standard technical metadata your browser sends when it talks to ours — user agent, referrer URL, IP address, and a timestamp.
If you become a Wyecliff client, we collect the business information needed to run the engagement — billing details, signed statements of work, and the data your engagement deliverables require. That data is governed by the security and confidentiality terms in the signed agreement, not by this page.
We do not run third-party advertising trackers on this site. We do run a small amount of first-party analytics so we can tell which pages people read. That's it.
How we use it
We use your contact information to do the obvious thing: reply to you, follow up on a conversation you started, send you the next edition of the newsletter you subscribed to, or invoice you for work we've agreed to do.
We use technical metadata to keep the site running — security, performance, abuse prevention — and to understand which pages, essays, and editions are useful so we can publish more of what people actually read.
We do not train external AI models on your data. If you share information with us through this site, it stays inside the Wyecliff perimeter.
Data sharing
We share your information with a short list of vendors who help us run the firm — Supabase (database), Microsoft 365 (email and productivity), and a payments processor for engaged clients. Each of these vendors operates under a written data processing agreement.
We will share information when we're legally required to: a subpoena, a court order, or a binding government request. If that ever happens, we'll fight overbroad requests, and we'll notify you unless the order legally forbids it.
We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information. Ever. The Wyecliff business model is paid engagements with operator-led companies, not data resale.
Cookies
We use a small number of first-party cookies for session state and analytics. We do not use third-party advertising cookies, retargeting pixels, or cross-site trackers. You can block all cookies in your browser and the site will still work — you'll just lose conveniences like remembered form state.
Your rights
You can ask us, at any time, to: (a) tell you what we have on you; (b) correct it; (c) delete it; or (d) export it in a portable format. Email hello@wyecliff.com and a Wyecliff partner will reply within one business day.
If you're a California resident, the CCPA applies and you have the additional rights described there. If you're in the EEA or UK, GDPR applies — you have the right to object, the right to restrict processing, and the right to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority.
Contact
Privacy questions go to hello@wyecliff.com. We try to answer inside one business day. If we don't, follow up — sometimes mail gets stuck.
