IMA Financial Group: AI for Producers Training Series
How we built on the summit's momentum with a multi-week series that gave 500+ producers a strong AI foundation and the working tools to use Copilot in their day-to-day.
Background
After working with IMA to prepare for their AI summit, the next step was to build on that initial curiosity. We designed a multi-week training series for their producers with two goals: build a solid foundation in how Copilot actually works, and ground every lesson in the work producers do every day. Producers ready to go deeper later moved into the Power User Cohort.
What We Did
Each session followed the same rhythm. We reviewed the key concepts that build a strong foundation and made sure they were understood, then grounded the demo in producers' real work to show how those concepts could actively be applied.
For every session, we also gave producers the recording, the slide deck, a reference document with the key concepts and every prompt used in the demos, and a step-by-step walkthrough of each live demo. That package works as a refresher, a catch-up for anyone who missed a session, and an onboarding resource for new hires.
Open office hours ran alongside the series, giving producers a place to bring the questions the trainings sparked and troubleshoot anything they ran into.
Grouped by theme, the series covered:
- Foundations: how Copilot works, when to use Work vs. Web, choosing the right model, personalizing it to how you work, building its memory, writing strong prompts, and scheduling recurring ones like a daily morning briefing.
- Research and meeting prep: researching companies and prospects with the Researcher agent, reconstructing account history from internal email, Teams, and meeting recordings, and turning meeting notes into clean, shareable records.
- Working across Microsoft 365: getting real value out of Copilot in Excel (building and analyzing a living client book), PowerPoint (client-ready decks in minutes), Outlook (managing the inbox and drafting in your own voice), and SharePoint and OneDrive (organizing files so Copilot can find and use them).
- Putting it together: end-to-end workflows that chain these tools into a single producer routine, including retention-risk analysis that flags which clients need attention first.
Impact
We raised the bar on AI knowledge and use across a group of 500+ producers, giving them a strong foundation, working tools, and actionable skills they can use every day, along with a clear sense of how to get the most out of Copilot across all of their Microsoft 365 applications.
We surveyed the full producer group, and the results averaged 4.6 out of 5. Producers were already putting the training to work in their own week, from drafting emails and cleaning up meeting notes to prepping for prospect meetings and organizing each client in a Notebook.
This series became the blueprint for the AI program we went on to build with IMA's service division. It also set the stage for the Power User Cohort, where producers who wanted to go deeper got hands-on coaching on their own workflows.

“The Wyecliff team helped get my work life organized and synchronized in order to take full advantage of Copilot. Their team worked hard to truly understand our workflows and then built real life use cases to make our time far more efficient.”
